Hey, guys!In continuation of my Swedish stories today I'll tell you about "Fika")What does that mean? Our evenings we spent in favorite pubs. One day we had a chance to talk with the waitress, who told us about the concept of "Fika". Finally, a purely Swedish jargon))) "Fika" means Swedish tradition to make a break from work for a cup of coffee. Swedes organize such a break every two hours and it takes no more than 15 minutes. It left absolutely fabulous senses in our hearts. It was Sunday fair that day. The central street was full of shops with all kind of goodies. Organ grinder played melodies, chimes of the local church filled all around with magical sounds and many of citizens were dressed as in the Middle Ages (to the delight of guests and tourists, I suppose)... continue reading

Hello, dear friends!Continuing my Swedish story I remember one of our fabulous mornings in hotel! It began with surprise. After breakfast we returned to the room to take things and go for a walk. Glancing out the window, we suddenly saw a rabbit (really huge rabbit or may be hare), who pinched the grass on the lawn right under our window. I literally felt myself like Alice in Wonderland at that moment. In the future, when it began to occur regularly we began to call our window - magic window,... continue reading

Having lived in Finland for a couple of years, I am probably one of the very few non-natives lucky enough to have experienced the mysterious life of this interesting country. Most people probably don't know that Finland's closest neighbour is Russia.
