Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, everyone! Oh, you don’t know? It may be September, but in stock photography world, it’s Christmas already. Let me explain. We all know that uploading seasonal photos can provide a nice, recurring, steady income if done right. Right? Well, probably the most important part of doing it right is timing. Two things to consider regarding timing: 1. (For photographers) time needed to get noticed and 2. (For buyers) time needed for clients who notice... continue reading
First of all, happy Mardi Gras! Second of all, it’s also the last day of February this year. February is the shortest month, with only 28 days even though other months have 31 days. I guess this is a good thing because it’s usually so cold. While only yesterday I could have said, “Six more weeks of winter?! Yeah, right! * Many holiday plants can lead to health problems in dogs and cats. Among the plants to keep out of reach are holly, mistletoe, poinsettias and lilies.* Snow globes often contain antifreeze, which is poisonous to pets.* Pine needles, when ingested, can puncture holes in a pet's intestine. So keep pet areas clear of pine needles.* The extra cords and plugs of holiday lights and other fixtures can look like chew toys to pets. Finally its Christmas! However, 2011 Christmas isn't that nice as it was a year ago. This year, not a single spot of snow outside, only raining. Last year we were sinking into snow, and I liked it. If I'd only be a rich and the temperature outside were below 0C, I'd fill the streets with snow cannons to have white Christmas :pAnd if at your place the weather is difficult, don't forget to help smaller ones.Anyway, Merry Christmas to everyone! Let's hope the Santa comes with a lot of presents... continue reading
