My little family and I just returned home from a two week vacation in West Virginia. My father (and his father, and his father, and... well, you get the idea) is from West Virginia, and my sister lives there also. Although the trip was mostly about seeing my family, who I hadn't seen in a good three years, I also took the opportunity to take plenty of pictures.Since there are so many pictures, and so much that we did, I've decided to split the blog up into two parts. This travel blog is about... continue reading

I have begun to see my life through "new eyes" after these past few months of taking, submitting and studying stock images. I think this new vision is something very beneficial for anyone to acquire. It is a new appreciation for everyday things! Yes! I now am entering a world of nuances and seeing it makes the so called "mundane world" intriguing, exciting and beautiful!I am realizing I am surrounded by beauty! I was just at the laundry mat because I am traveling (as usual) and the old scratched... continue reading
Gran Canaria in 3 days (Part 1: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria)Hello everyone, this is my first ever article on a blog, so I hope it will be ok.Me and my wife visited Gran Canaria (one of Canary Islands that are part of Spain) a couple of weeks ago, we spent just 1 week there, but the island is so great for sightseeing that I decided to write a short guide for those of you who want to see as much as possible for 3 days, and still have some time to relax on the beach, at the pool or get crazy in... continue reading
There is value in photographing everything, everywhere, all of the time. That value is sight improvement.Sight improvement is the ability to see more clearly tat which will make a better photograph. The more you shoot, the more you are seeing. The more you are seeing, the more your discernment improves.I have a friend who has an eye for seeing the stock value in a photograph. She has been buying stock images for websites, print projects and more for a very long time. In doing this she... continue reading
On a recent business trip to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, I had brought my camera in the hope that there would be an opportunity for some sightseeing. I was only in Stockholm for three days but the weather was excellent during my stay with temperatures of approx. 18 degrees Celsius despite it was early spring. People acted as it was the first day of summer and there was a nice a friendly atmosphere all over the city. As the weather forecast for my last day in Stockholm also looked... continue reading

The exclave of Musandam is a peninsula in the far north of Oman and separated... continue reading
I think, we will agree that the most important quality in a photographer is the ability to see interesting subjects. I would like to recommend a book named: "Photography and the Art of Seeing" by Freeman Patterson. I got it when I entered the local library in a day I was bored of walking around with my camera and I could find nothing I considered interesting to shoot. In this blog, I will explainwhat I think are the most important lessons that I learned. Don't expect the results to be good for stock... continue reading
