A 10 Year Old Photographer On Dreamstime!

A couple of weeks ago while at a skate park I left my camera bag with my wife and 10 year old son. On returning I could see that someone had been playing with my camera. Smiles? No!!!

O.K., I've got a few images on Dreamstime, but I buy a lot more as editor/designer of one of our magazines in the indoor comfort market. I've been running into a recurring problem in that whenever I look for pertinent images that include people, all too often they're looking at the camera and smiling!I'm using these images editorially and that's useless to me. Despondency turns to elation

Well I am now up to the 3 sales mark in just over 24 hours and climbing, no matter that it was my fellow photographers that bought 2 of my images, thanks guys/gals, it has done wonders in transforming my despondency (not that bad but adds interest) into elation, which at this point is only outshone by my enthusiasm to take more pictures. Say Cheese!

For severalyears now I have enjoyed taking photographs of different animals and I am always amazed when I photograph an animal and it looks like they are smiling.The Gorilla smiling in the picture normally never has this expression on his face but I was at the zoo one day and I called out his name and when he turned around to look over at me he looked like he was smiling.I was quite pleased with the outcome of this picture.I have photographed several animals with what it looks like a smile... continue reading
