As stated in my previous articles, a crucial stage in thinking up your uploads is to step in your buyer's shoes: what do buyers need and what are they searching for? Or, most importantly, how do they search for our files? I have seen other users have also addressed this topic. I am pleased to see that you have tried your buyers' shoes not only for empathy reasons but mostly for business-related causes. Always keep in mind that you are selling something and this something does not sell simply because... continue reading

A few Christmas images have been downloaded in the last few days. Seasonal images are often put into play many months prior to the actual time of year. The conundrum is that the best time to shoot seasonal images is after the images have reached their peak download period. Now IS the time to create images emblematic of Easter and springtime.

I'm a new comer to this world. I started a year ago just curious to see if some people would like my pictures. As everybody, I didn't know which platform to choose. I tried 2 to see if they accepted my work. Both did.I devoted until now to the other platform to reach an objective of 500 images uploaded. Now I'm doing the same with Dreamstime.I have only sold 2 times in DS (I have over 80 sells in the other platform). The same image sold twice. Because there are two types of flower photos. Ones that are very common flowers and are well covered like roses (990 pages up in... continue reading
Well this time I had a illustration refused because the subject was too specific. It was an illustration of three cranes on a white background. But that theory was just shot down...Can anyone give me hints about how they developed subjects that are approved and later downloaded?Any one have a tip on how to predict what is chosen for its marketability?Any tips and clues would be helpful...Thanks.... continue reading
Some times when getting good Nature photo's I get so excited that I actually was able to sneak up on a wild animal and get a good photo that I get in a hurry to get it in to see if it will get approved. We all know that Nature shots are a very tough category to compete in.Now it's very hard to get one accepted because there are so many great ones already on line.So when you do get an animal accepted give yourself every advantage and be as specific as you can be.Here's an example.... continue reading
