“You can take moon pictures with it.” Said my friend. That sounded such a cool thing to do. I had never taken a photo of the moon.In fact, I had never even considered the possibility of taking a picture of the moon. For the previous eight years about 90% of the photos I had taken were wobbly one handed snaps of my son alongside associated toys, friends and relations. The other ten percent were indistinguishable blurs. They were all taken on my phone, at a time when phone cameras were not... continue reading

Hi FriendsI have just started my work with dreamstime. I am crazy for photography experience. Dreamstime helped myself becoming my dreams true.I took the first shot of a flower on a roadside greenbelt. That photo was accepted. After that i was so excited to make more pictures.I planned to go in a nearby housing scheme garden. I spent three hours there and took plenty of photos. Photos of flowers, sunset, lake, bridge etc. I took photos from different angles and different settings of... continue reading
I'm just starting out. I've made exactly $4.47 from selling stock photography so far. Alas, none of that is on Dreamstime. Apparently the search algorithms on other sites are more favorable to me than this one. I'm not quitting my day job.I started out by simply uploading my best photos. I didn't take those photos for stock photography. I took them as a hobby. My hobby is hiking in the mountains, mostly in California, and finding and identifying wildflowers. I don't think it will shock anyone... continue reading
Spring is surely near and in some countries its already started with cherry trees blossoming. It's amazing time that comes with festivals around the world. It's called "Hanami" in Japan or if you translate it will mean "cherry blossom viewing".So i would really love to see it with my own eyes :) But for now i drew some watercolor cherry flowers myself. Cherry petals must be like snow in the wind. Spring time is wonderful time of a year. Trees are reviving with new leaves, new flowers,... continue reading
This is really a journey of discovery.I wouldn't call myself a top shelf photographer, but my photos just go to waste, being stored in various places and many have died senselessly with the death of a hard drive. Most stock photography sites want photos of people or buildings.I prefer nature.I hate worrying about staging people with silly props, getting paperwork signed, and worrying about all the various details when I can just go outside and find something interesting to share with others.... continue reading

My first few months on here have been a success. I am still not doing this at the speed I would like. Sadly this is just a hobby for me right now. I currently work two full time jobs and photography has been a way to relax. I have several photos pending that I hope are approved! They are the first time I played with photo editing software for stock images.I realize that I need to go at my own speed. I can't rush into this stock image thing. I see all these beautiful bigportfolios and look at... continue reading
Sometimes in photography, we find that we've slowed down for some reason. These slow periods can be a natural part of our creative work. Sometimes we feel inspired, energized, in love with life and photography! Other times, we feel lukewarm about it all. Exploring the deeper causes of these slowdowns can provide insight into our creative selves. For now, let’s look at how to grab the camera, give our creativity a little push, and get started again. You might be thinking, not want to shoot... continue reading
I have been getting more into taking photos over the past five years. In a lot of ways it is a very spontaneous act, but at the same time not at all. Great photos can come out of planning all these details to make it just right and often there will be some great photos. My favorite photos come from the unplanned moments or the moment a plan fails because those tend to be the photos that represent life. Life is never going to go completely like someone plans it, but some great moments can come from... continue reading
I am just getting started and don't pretend to know anything about photography. I just enjoy it and hope to learn as I go and possibly make some money.I currently have 19 approved photographs and 22 pending. My current goal is 50 approved.I have been selling digital downloads at another site (not a stock site, but an arts/craft site.)I mostly sell alphabet letters that people put together to form names or words. Creativity counts and quality doesn't seem to be a factor in which photos I sell... continue reading
