Dropped by for a bit

Hey there! Looks like it's been a year since my last blog post. Haha~ Isn't this nice. Today I submitted a few more images for approval. Actually they're photos now instead of vector art that I used to do.I have a smartphone that produces good enough quality photos so I decided why not earn from the pictures I randomly take, right? :D Anyway the ones that got approved last month were 2 nature pics and 2 architectural pics. Oh well. Hopefully the next batch of approved pics would... continue reading

Why I love my iPhone

I periodically work as a full-time photographer, and periodically as an IT consultant. However, when working as a consultant, I don't always carry my photography gear with me. And that's why I love my iPhone! Together with some good (read great) photo apps (such as ProCamera and NightCap Pro) and some "extensions" such as the OlloClip Case and lenses, I can capture some great pictures when I see them. Such as the one below, which is a street in Brussels, during the early morning hours, right before... continue reading

Almost 500!

It's been quite a journey, but I'm almost reaching 500 pictures online! It's the last few steps, the last images to reach that first goal. The images are already shot, they're just sitting there waiting to be edited , uploaded and keyworded, so I expect to reach this goal in the next few days (I'll throw in some extra effort! ;-) ).And then? On to the next goal: 25 sales, and more!  continue reading

MUST-SEE in every trip

To tell you the truth, I am quite a lucky guy, because my wife is as fond of photography and traveling as I am. So all our savings are going for new photo equipment and new travel destinations. We are both in stock photography and for the both of us it's, unfortunately, just a free-time occupation. My darling is great in planning the routes of our travel and doing the most of the arrangements (as most of women, I suppose. They are much better in this than we are, ah, guys? :) ) And I am the driver... continue reading

There's always something to photograph

I don't know about you, but photography is something that gives me real pleasure. It's nearly always on my mind: planning the next project; scoping out new places to shoot; reading as much as I can about new techniques; appreciating other photographers' work; checking out the window to assess the light; scouring a well known auction site to look for my next longed-for piece of equipment. But, as is true for many of us, the "day job" can be a major obstacle to growing my photography portfolio.... continue reading
