Been on Dreamstime a few years now and I can say there's no magic formula to selling images, in other words sales don't explode by reaching any certain approval rating or having a certain amount of images in your portfolio, I believe that the 80% approval rating sales kicker has been debunked numerous times. It's all about the image itself how rare, unique or useful is it?, next is quality, how gifted are you at creativity? and what is your skill level in editing software?, these are keys to success.... continue reading

My Next Adventure

 I'm so excited and feel so privileged to be able to travel in my retirement. One of my goals was to "see" as much of the world as possible while my eyes were still good enough to do so.My other goal was to share all my travels with others through my photography.  As of today, I am now able to share 1002 photos and even more lucky to have sold 111 of them, all "snapshots" of my life. Mini milestone

In a past two months, things got changed and I decided to become full time stock photographer. I've uploaded about 80 photos for two months and I'm waiting for the first sale for a long time. First 50 uploads!!

A year back I discovered a new passion, the passion of photography. And here I am today, successfully completed over 50 uploads. I still can’t forget the day when my first photo was approved on Dreamstime. It boost my confidence and I guess it gave a new direction to my life. I would call Dreamstime as my mentor. The First Steps Were a Success

My first few months on here have been a success. I am still not doing this at the speed I would like. Sadly this is just a hobby for me right now. I currently work two full time jobs and photography has been a way to relax. I have several photos pending that I hope are approved! New milestone

Today I have achieved one of the goal that I had set for myself when I first joined Dreamstime, some have told me that my expectation were too high that I was in competition with better more experienced photographer than I. To these folks today I say take a good look! because only by 4 months have I missed the goal set 3 years ago which was 500 sales, but I also achieved another milestone with my first $1k and to boot with an image that sold for the first time in 2 years being available.
