A couple years ago - yes YEARS! - I happened to be walking around Boston with my family enjoying a the fall weather when we came upon a movie being filmed.I snapped a few shots before getting pulled away by my family (there wasn't a lot of action going on at least in their opinion - I would have stayed for hours).I uploaded these shots in October of 2011!One of these became my all time bestseller as and editorial shot.Now with the movie, R.I.P.D. finally being released this summer I hope... continue reading
Recently we had a nice walk with Elena. I thought that it would be a great idea to use a big reflector. As a result I was running a lot with that thing. And I should mention a large thing: on a tripod and with a hard shell. I got tired as a dog and the truth is that the best shots were made the old way - without any reflectors or scatterers.This photo session was made for my good fellows Misha and Irina. This summer I spent two wonderful weeks at the Seliger Lake (Russia, 400 km to the NW from Moscow). Some nights I made a shots of starry sky and each morning I checked if it's a mist over the lake. Sometimes I was lucky to catch the mist. Night which gradually becomes a day - this is fantastic show, trust me. Especially if one has a camera complementary to ones eyes and soul...PS. I would love to have a tool to place the images in blogs more accurately - now it works just terrible. continue reading
