My first year on Dreamstime as a new photogrpaher and and I've realised just how quickly the time passes! I was a novice photographer when I joined and I think, to be fair, I'm still in that category, although I'd like to think that the photos have improved in this time.First approved photo. So, what has happened in the year? I joined with no illusions of making lots of money but when the first sale came, it was such a great feeling. I've achieved some... continue reading

I was going to wait for my 1 year Stock Photo anniversary to pass before posting this, but having recently reached my annual target for uploaded images this year, and passing a milestone I certainly didn't expect to reach so soon, I decided to write it now, I don't think there are any more reachable milestones in the next month and a bit unless I get a couple EL sales or Google do another mass image purchase.I'll start with a very satisfying announcement, a couple of months ago I was wondering... continue reading
hi folksWell when i started with DT i set myself a target, get 50 images accepted, i am pleased that today i successfully crossed that off my to do list, well not really i just added another 50 and now aiming for the round 100. At the same time i was concentrating on keeping a good acceptance ratio but i have to say the past couple of months has been a challenge to meet my goals, small as they may be.Although i have been in photography for some time and done quite a bit... continue reading
Despite August being another best month ever for me in terms of number of sales and revenue it was a poor month for inspiration and uploads!September is a month for me that signifies the end of the hard work on our little small holding and the completion of our harvest with one or two significant jobs to do before we sit down and enjoy Autumn and Winter.I am determined this month to reach my 400th image on line and possibly even a payday (just 40 away at the moment interms of uploads but the... continue reading
Well just over a year ago I said I would give this Micro stock thing a fair shot, and if I liked it I would stick around. It was also an experiment in photography. Could I produce images that would sell?Micro stock for me was all about setting targets. The first image online, the first sale, 50 images online, 100 images online, you get the idea. Well I have learned a lot about this business, and even more about myself and sticking to the task. I have also made a little money in the process.I... continue reading
Time flies! It seems yesterday when I registered in DT and it was one year ago. One Year in DT. Wow!I am just a photography lover, and I thought “Can I earn some Money with my passion?” And looking thought Internet I discovered some Micro stock Photography web sites.Obviously at the beginning and thinking the best way to earn more Money was to be registered user at most sites possible. I started to upload images and more images in all sites I found and not a lot later I discover that it... continue reading
Being a relative newcomer to stock photography, I joined DT in July 18th 2009. It was a little daunting to look at peoples portfolios and see hundreds or even thousands of images on-line.I decided I had to set targets if I was to make any progress. My first target was to get my photographs accepted.Well that creates it’s own problems, what one stock agency will except another might reject. It’s confusing! One thing I have had to except is that not all my photographs are good enough, and... continue reading
I'm having a good day so far...just reached 100 sales which I am really pleased about.I'm still quite new on Dreamstime and I am trying very hard to improve, I just need to make more time.I am well under my target of 100 uploads a month but I will keep aiming for it.Also, i'm really liking the new pricing structure.Although I've only had a couple of sales with the 2008 credits I can certainly see the difference.Last month I reached my first payout (it took about 5 months) but already I... continue reading
As I was never a photographer, stock was a word related to investment and my countries financial position as well. I never knew that something like ‘stock photography’ was a term even when I was a regular browser of xxxxx for my general pictorial browsing. I was always fascinated by the pictures there. Then came the word microstock, but I actually came to know this term after I registered on DT. I just registered here as a website which will help me have some additional income from my photographs.... continue reading
