FEED YOUR IDEAS WATCHING MOVIES

I think it´s important to watch some interesting movies that were dominated to oscar to the best photography beucause there we can notice some special play of light and colors that we can recreate later to our own way and add a little of our art and imagination then we can have a special and important image for our clients...I recommeed to watch this beautiful movie with a pen and notebook on your knees to can write it down the most important moment to catch it later like a picture.. continue reading

Positive thinking.

After years of slow sales and perfecting my selection Ithought I would try another way.Thinking about sales andhowmuch I enjoy seeing what has sold has increased the speed of my sales, not the amount per picture, I haven't perfected thatside of it yet! I don't know how it works, butevery time I spend a day or more thinking aboutlovely sales onthis site up theypop. Now,looking at my sales I know you may think, they are low, buteveryone has to start somewhere and I was finding... continue reading

Trying new stuff. And it gets accepted.

When you have two kids and one of them is 6 (the other almost 2) you can get very creative in thinking and doing when it comes to getting ideas for shoots. Kids never sit still and there attention span isnt the biggest in the world. How do you make sure you let them sit still? You think outside of the box and create new stuff out of nothing. That is what I did with these pictures. I tried new stuff after an evening of playing with torches, flashes, bike rims, lights, gels and xmas decoration.... continue reading

Think Tank

Its often hard to think of good stock ideas.Perhaps we can inspire one another? What works, what doesn't.Lighting ideas, that make or break photos.Ideas that are lacking, designers feel free to chime in as well.Micro stock has been around for awhile, and it seems that its harder to find original ideas. It seems more about improving and taking a better shot of the same idea. For example isolated objects. How do new photographers break into the industry, when the sites are flooded with... continue reading

Box Breakers

People always said: "be creative, think outside the box!"Easy to say, but sometimes, very challenging, especially if you have a very orthodox way of thinking. So sometimes, some people need stimulants. Keywords and Sideways Thinking ... I Think.

Methodology is Good!Keywording can be described as a methodology or a process. I'll use the word process for this article. A good keyword process yields successful and predictable outcomes while maintaining relevancy and eliminating frustration. The better the process; the better the outcome. The purpose of my article is to help guide your choices of which words should be chosen as keywords by showing you a process that has been working for me for many years. It's logical, intuitive and repeatable... continue reading

being exclusive

Let's talk some about it today, being exclusive on Dreamstime or another agency,is it really worth?First of all I should say I haven't the experience to say yes or no,but have taken a look to some blogs lately and lots of people were on the same track. What I learnt by reading those blogs is that it depends on you, your needs, what you expect from this world "the stock one".If you're someone who just uploads few pictures in a month, then you should become exclusive with an... continue reading

Finding inspiration

A few days ago, someone asked about where to get inspiration. To me, there are a lot of places. I've been a DT buyer for 4 years...I haven't bought a lot -- about 120 images, mostly of which are used in a medical-type newsletter. I've used these 2 recently:Now that I'm trying to sell some of my stuff, I still need to think like a buyer. When I'm looking for images, I'm reading my articles and thinking: how can I best illustrate (blank). When you shoot, you need to think that way too: If I... continue reading
