Taking photographs on the road. This can mean different things to different people but in its simplest sense, it can mean, get up and get out there.I can't help it but I mostly like to plan ahead before a trip, to try and find locations that could be good photographic opportunities. Looking at other photos of the area you plan to go to on Dreamstime is a good source of information and also to see if you can find a different way to photograph that location. There are also a number of guide... continue reading

Following the Google Images layout changes made a few years ago, changes that we addressedhere, the erosion of commercial photography has continued. In a nutshell, whenever someone clicked on 'View image,' this action would actually load the image rather than the page that used the image or the original source page. As immediate results, piracy has found an excuse and unintentional usage of unlicensed content has flourished, with more people downloading images found with Google image... continue reading
My first year on Dreamstime as a new photogrpaher and and I've realised just how quickly the time passes! I was a novice photographer when I joined and I think, to be fair, I'm still in that category, although I'd like to think that the photos have improved in this time.First approved photo. So, what has happened in the year? I joined with no illusions of making lots of money but when the first sale came, it was such a great feeling. I've achieved some... continue reading
I've been thinking about my content and photo projects a lot recently. I'm usually pretty busy... I have a full time day job, a girlfriend, I shoot bands, and like everyone else, I'm swamped with a million little things. This is NOT a complaint. It just means I have to really work hard to make the effort for all the stock photo stuff in my life. You have to really want to do stock photography. It's rarely glamourous. It's often tedious. There's keywording, editing, time in lightroom, time spent... continue reading
Being in a forest and mostly with a photo camera, I have felt many times over that it was not I who was looking at the surroundings while my expectations to see a wild animal had fulfilled. On certain days before seeing an animal, I felt that it was rather the unseen animals were looking at me. It’s like playing hide and seek. Probably it was like that, buton the other hand, sometimes there is a point at which you see it, but one no longer knows who sees and who is seen, who is taking a picture... continue reading
Life is wonderful how themselves participate in creating unforgettable moments.Let us ask ourselves when we last woke up with a smile on his face, the last time we thank the blessings we can enjoy another morning, day and everything that makes our life.Be able to observe the beauty of the sun that relentlessly shines in the sky, the beauty of the rain that falls, the beauty of the trees throughout the year, the beauty of children's smiles, hugs beauty. Life is full of wonderful miracles, small and... continue reading
What makes a photo intriguing and memorable? When you are starting out to create photos for sale, such as here on Dreamstime, it is tempting to think that the motive is all that matters: You think a city is worth travelling to and therefore you go and take pictures of the place in the city you like to look at the best. Or cars is what makes your photographer heartbeat just that little tick faster, and so you strive to find the ultimate and coolest car model for your next photo shoot. And in... continue reading
Hello Everyone!Just want to start by saying I am no SEO expert by any means! But I do have an understanding of just how important keywording is.However as I learned a great way for key wording in Lightroom that is going to save me a ton of time by the way!! (another story) I started to think about this:Does anyone add their name as a keyword? Now I know I am not famous or anything so it is unlikely that someone will search for me specifically ( I am talking more for Google searches... continue reading
About 6 to 7 months ago, I lost all interest in photography. From one to the other day, it was simply gone. I couldnt find a reason within myself. I searched a lot, did a lot of meditation, NLP etc, but I couldnt find any reason why I had lost all interest in something I truly loved to do before.I tried to let it go, bannishing the blocking thoughts, but that was easier said then done. Months went by before I contacted a former NLP teacher of mine, and I asked if he would be able to help me, by... continue reading
Now I have more than 200 files in my portfolio for almost three months...Moving ahead- slowly but surely))))I ponder what would develop themes in my works, and something to keep working on.Vector or photo - what to pay more attention to? While I do not know, but I know one thing for sure - we must continue to create new!)And I decided to take part in the assignment on Dreamstime. Here is my picture "Sad Boy" continue reading
