Bengal Tigers are big cats having yellow to light orange coats with dark brown to black stripes. They can be as long as 10 feet and as heavy as 325 kgs! Their scientific name is Panthera tigris tigris and they are included in genus Panthera along with lions, leopards, snow leopards, and jaguars. They are most commonly found in forests in India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. They prominently appear in mythology and folklore of these countries.
