Has your photography bug ever gotten you in trouble with family? How many times have you heard:Can you please just put the camera away for once?!Recently, while going to a restaurant near Lake Oconee in Georgia with my family, I spotted several active Osprey nests. How badly I wanted to stop the car for some photos! But I didn’t want my photography addiction to get me in trouble once again. Just have patience. Enjoy dinner with family. An opportunity will arise later, I told myself.... continue reading

As a photographer, you have to take equal advantage of both the sunrise and sunset. However, that doesn't mean you can't have a favourite. I've put together a few of what I believe are the advantages and disadvantages to shooting at these two times in the day. I'm based in Southern Ontario, Canada, on the outskirts of the Greater Toronto Area so some of my reasons may be biased to the location and environment. But, for the most part, the factors are universal. The sunrise... continue reading
My first consideration in choosing a location is finding a place with light. If I want my subject to be well-lit, I will photograph outside if possible. I look for a location that has shade or diffuse light, such as under tree canopy or an overhang from a porch; something to make the light diffuse.I live in a place with very strong light from the sun almost every day and it will create harsh shadows on the subject. In certain instances, that might be the look you want, for... continue reading
Rules are meant to be broken:It's often considered an unwritten rule that photography locations are best shot during certain times of the day i.e golden hour or blue hour (in layman's terms, couple of hours before sunrise or sunset, or an hour after sunset, respectively). The truth is photography locations, while they put on their tuxedos and look their dandiest at those times of day, still offer something more in the not so popular times of the day, like 12 pm in the... continue reading
I was encouraged to write this article, I thought I can do it too, I have so much to say, and I know exactly what I want to say, I want to tell you about a recent visit to an abandoned factory in the place where I live; being there made me feel many feelings mixed happiness, sadness, and above all a huge curiosity to know how everything ended in ruins? It was a gradual process, of course everything happened slowly before the eyes of many who simply stopped looking in the place Right.I am one of those... continue reading
1788/5000I am a time traveler.I have the art of registering and transporting from one date to another, images that can never be seen again, because in less than a minute everything can change. With that in mind, one of my great passions is to photograph nature.Relevance.With the constant action of humanity polluting, transforming and tracing the routes of urban evolution, much can be lost.Ecological awareness has been worked through organizations, initiatives and media, but the truth is that every... continue reading

A bit less than a year ago I decided to give stock photography a try as I have thousands and thousands photos sitting on my hard drive. Today I hit 1000 uploads and to celebrate that I decided to write a blog post on my observations. Why not, right?During this time I have realized that you have to submit much much more photos than that if you want to have decent sales provided you have started with stock photography recently. I have analysed some users and the ones that have high sales per image are... continue reading
Right place.... right timeIt’s my photographers dream… to be in the right place at the right time when suddenly, there it is - The Shot. Out-of-the-blue. And the Kookaburra are looking at each-other.I've been doing photography for years, self-taught and learning from my mistakes with manual only settings. From lenses to sensors. The best sensor Full frame (professional) or cropped (amateur)? Or Megapixels? And low-light discussions I guess. Is it all about the expensive... continue reading
