I am new to stock photography and have not yet made much use of photos of people. Usually my “models” are young family members and I have not yet come to terms with the fact that there is no real control over how the photos are used. I think that the only time I really have a say is when I decide whether to post an image or not. For all those reading this blog, I will give a little background as to who I am. I am a soldier by trade. I spent 15 months in Iraq, and captured many great photos while I was there. The problem is that I did not think about getting model releases for the shots that I took. Almost all of my shots are of people, both locals as well as soldiers.
