When your location includes great diving spots like the warm waters of the Bay Islands of Honduras, consider shooting underwater. Shooting underwater takes more than having an underwater casing for your camera. Like with any photo, light is the biggest challenge. Colors disappear very quickly as you descend. Red goes first at about 15 feet. Orange is next at between... continue reading

A few weeks ago, I published part 1 of my trip to Russia.Today, I'd like to share with you, the rest of my trip to Ufa, the capitol of Bashkiria, a semi-autonomous republic about 1000 miles east of Moscow on the western slopes of the Ural, the area around it. To a foreigner, Ufa is not a particular tourist attraction. It's an industrial 2,000,000 million inhabitants city, that seem to have frozen in time some 30 years ago. Friendly people, a wealth of World Heritage sites. Rich history with many relics and past times buildings, and a sense of traveling back in time, to 40-50 years ago. It had been very very interesting and apparently quite fruitful as almost 60 images from the 800 I shot had turned into stock photos accepted by DT.The... continue reading

This is a small diamond viper. She behaved quite calmly, she even managed to hang her on a branch and take some pictures. At that moment, the shooting was a bit scary, I had an 18-135 mm lens and had... continue reading
