Panama... the 7 Seas Right through My Dooooor...

Well, not the 7 seas, but definitely two. I had the pleasure of traveling back to the tropics in early January and escape the increasingly mild Winter we've been having. Still, 80 degree weather and ocean breezes were a welcomed respite. One of the most amazing things to do while in Panama is to travel from the Pacific to the Atlantic. It's a magical experience that I highly recommend. By car, it can be done in less than two hours (without traffic of course)!Attached are some of the views I captured... continue reading

Back from the tropics

My wife and I recently got back from a trip to the Island of Bonaire. Some of the photos taken there have been aproved and I thought I would share them with you. When taking animal photos close up without the use of a zoom lens try to understand the language of the beast. When these guys start bouncing their heads up and down real fast and they have no where to go because you blocked the only escape route that means I'm going to bite you.The bite itself isn't that bad but if it startles... continue reading

Are you winter, summer, or both?

I have figured out through the years that I am definitely a summer person.I love the blue sky, the warmth of the sun, the longer days, the colors and sounds of summer.Winter to me seems harsh , quiet, and cold. My Florida blood makes the midwest weather hard to take and I started submitting to Dreamstime to help me get through the winter, improve... continue reading

Love the tropics

I love the tropics, the ocean, the islands, and all that it includes. It is odd to me that I live so far up in the woods that they pipe in sunshine and yet I'm in love with the ocean. Many people would say I am very lucky to live right in wilderness and that's probably true. Perhaps it's because it's so common to me that I yearn for the sea. I also love to scuba dive and the ocean has much more to look at than a fresh water lake.I look forward to every trip I can make to the sea and try to... continue reading
