When is the last time you just didn't go the same way?Yesterday I was driving home when I looked at my passenger and said, "you have been officially kidnapped." Then off we went. What should have taken about 1/2 hour drive home ended being almost 4 hours? Sometimes taking a new road can bring you new surprises and sights.I have found MANY new things just by getting lost or taking a left instead of a right. Today we had found the Ritner Creek Bridge, an old barn, a field... continue reading

Hello everyone! This is my first sale. This blog is for those who are still waiting for their first sold photo. I never expected to sell this image. If you are one of those who belongs to that category, then maybe you are wondering "Will this even work?" or "What am I doing wrong?". I agree with those who say that patience is your friend. After 4 months of waiting, I finally made it.The image is not so brilliant and neither so special. It's alright from a technical point of view, yet... continue reading
Have you ever taken a photo and got a surprise inside? Something you were totally unaware of its existence? An unexpected action as soon as the shutter went off?I took this photo a few months ago in Tuscany thinking that it's a cool gloomy photo of the foggy forest. When I downloaded the photos on my computer, here they were: 2 rabbits running towards each other or as I prefer to think romantically gazing into each others' eyes ^_^Here's the link to the post on my page because no idea how... continue reading
Recently I knew that several photos of mine have been purchased through photobanks and published in books. That’s a great pleasure to know! I found those books at a bookstore – they’re very nice and I decided that I want to have them in my family library. Also I decided to write a quick note to the publishing house to let them know how happy I am to see my photos published in their books, and I also asked if I can purchase the books directly from the publishing house. The reply was YES, I... continue reading
We must have all had that moment when we kick ourselves for not having a camera with us, or not been quick enough to catch that memorable moment.I remember being in the park with my husband who was casually feeding the squirrels, when one of the delightful creatures grabbed onto his finger and refused to let go. I was laughing so much at his frantic efforts to shift those wicked teeth that I failed to get the shot. However now and again we get a gift. Mine came last week when I went early into... continue reading
After doing a lot of research I decided that stock photography was going to be a way of keeping my photography interests afire and give me a reason to constantly be thinking about the world and how it can be captured. So after some advice from an accomplished stock photographer I decided to sign up to DT as my first stock folio site and uploaded my first 11 images. Now I understood the first rounds of uploads are as much learning the ropes of the particular stock site as it is about making sure... continue reading
I shoot a lot of pictures of nature and my children. While nature shots are great to compose and take your time getting the perfect shot, children are unpredictable. This unpredictability, that is, letting children be themselves, has yielded some great images. My suggestion, bring them somewhere they can explore and be curious. These actions can lead to some great, unexpected shots.Recently, I took a series of images of one of my daughters exploring a beach in Cape Cod.It was late... continue reading
Every time I upload a picture I have some expectations related to it. Some of them are considered by me as potential bestsellers (never worked out ;). Others I see as photos addressed to very narrow niche of buyers and I do not expect them to fly high to the 3rd or 4th level in a couple of months.I uploaded the photo below – a monument of polish astronomer Nicolas Copernicus – not expecting too much from it.Imagine my surprise when it became my bestseller. OK, it's not so difficult... continue reading
Somewhat surprising to me was the sale of this image. When I painted this nuclear explosion, I just trained to draw fire and explosions without much hope for sale. I hope that these deadly explosions remain only in the imagination of mankind, and never will be seen in the real world. Unfortunately people can when they want to do so lethal weapons that our poor planet "earth" can not withstand such experiments. :( And scatter pieces ... when testing new weapons ... for example. continue reading
When you are least expecting it, a picture presents itself to you.If you are ready for it, you can capture it.Some of the best pictures I have taken, have found me and not the other way around. My lastest picture is one of my favourites. There is only a little cropping and picture is basically what I saw.Whether I get any sales at all on it, it is still one of my most enjoyed.19710738 continue reading
