Another year is starting, meaning we’re set for another episode in the ever evolving world of web design. Here are few key trends already announced for 2018.1.Goodbye hard corners, hello curves! It’s been a general trend for major industry players (Twitter and Google, for example) to renounce the traditional right angles for various website elements and adopt rounded corners as the new standard. 2018 is therefore expected to make the transition official, meaning we’ll have a well rounded... continue reading

Whoever wakes up in the morning goes far away. This is a quote in Romania. And i listening to this, so I made sure I got the full battery on my camera and woke up at 4.50 am. Yes 4.50 in the morning. Due to the fact that I live near the Black Sea, I reached the beach in 5 minutes. Total darkness ... I walk with the flashlight to see where I'm going and not to think of anything.Started the dawn of the day. The light so I set the photo camera with a high ISO and shutter speed of 30 seconds. Happy Mid Year! We’ve reached the half way point of the calendar year.We are exactly half of the way through 2017, or we have half of 2017 to go, depending on your outlook on life. We all have bad times, hard times, cloudy days and more rain than sun.But there’s nothing we can’t do to overcome these phases of life. Now I won’t offer you a motivational speech. There’s plenty of them on the Internet. Instead I’ll raise a glass of wine to all of us. Hope you’ll join me while reading 11 of the best quotes to drive away bad thoughts."There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship." -Thomas Aquinas "Problems are not stop signs, they... continue reading
I was editing one of my online files the other day because I'd thought of a better way to describe the photograph. I then went back and had a look at the first few photos I'd submitted and opened edit for each one.All of them had something that I then changed, either in the description and or adding keywords. I suppose it's normal for some people when they start out and maybe don't quite know the right keywords to use and the descriptions.I have to confess, I'm over six months... continue reading
A friend of mine used to own 1950 something truck that didn’t have turn signals on it, they were an option. Al was working on his old truck one evening and he was lying under the truck on his back. He was using a socket wrench to remove a stubborn nut that wouldn’t come loose. Al was pulling so hard that he was lifting himself off of the ground. Suddenly the nut came loose, sending the socket wrench handle into his jaw. The force was so strong that Al was knocked out. He lay there unconscious... continue reading
Years ago my parents and I were camping at Temperance River State Park along the north shore of Lake Superior. Dad and I went for a walk down to the shore to check out the lake from our campsite. The trail went through the woods and down a slight grade. There was a turn in the trail about two hundred yards in front of us and a little black dog came around that turn and was headed straight for us. He came running to see us and we were talking to him and dad was petting him. The dog’s owner then came... continue reading
I heard a story about a guy who hired a drag line operator to dig out a pond on his property. The operator was digging for about three hours and was down about twenty five feet into the earth when he hit something big. He kept on digging and removed the dirt from the side of the object. Then he climbed down into the hole with a shovel and moved the dirt away from the object. It turned out that the object was a big tree; in fact it was a huge white pine tree. He moved his machine around so that... continue reading
A friend of mine and I stopped in Grand Marais and we walked out to Artists Point to take some pictures. Lake Superior was dead calm, not a ripple. I had never seen the big lake that still. We were skipping some stones and trying to take photos and videos of the stones skipping. My friend was laughing so hard because when she tried to skip stones they just went down into the water and didn’t skip.It was a beautiful evening to just be out and enjoy the sunset. While we were driving to the motel... continue reading
My grandmother was born in central Minnesota and when the flu epidemics hit in the 1900’s, both of her parents died. My grandmother and her brothers and sisters were then put into an orphanage because there weren’t any other family members to take the children. When people would come to see my grandmother for possible adoption, my grandmother would either bite them or she would run away. When Olaf came to the orphanage, my grandmother liked him and said, “Wouldn’t you like to take a nice... continue reading
