My bird photos

If I have to choose one subject as my favorite, it is nature photography. Unfortunatly birds are not very much into modelling, and you need to wake up early to catch them. So most of my bird portraits are a bit noisy. That makes every bird photos of mine accepted even more precious. Here are a few: green woodpecker (taken in Vienna, Austria) Sharp-shinned hawk (taken in NH, USA) Hoopoe (taken in Hungary) continue reading

The Benefits of Winging a Trip

I want to talk to you about the benefits of just 'winging' your next big travel trip. I've come to really enjoy traveling this way, and will show you how a road trip through the national parks of the United States looked in about 29 days.I had built up a list of places I've seen, as an aspiring landscape photographer, that seemed very photogenic, and after plotting some of the nearest ones to me on a map, it became very quickly apparent how easy it could be to see them all, at once. The trip... continue reading

Halloween in the USA

It's that spooky time of year when ghosts and witches show up at our door step, werewolves and zombies stagger down the street, and spider webs with occasional spiders grace even the cleanest of homes.Halloween can be fun, scary, spooky, exciting, and a great time to grab the camera and take tons of photos. Kids in pumpkin patches searching for the favorite pumpkin.. Hay rides and bonfires, piles of leaves to jump in and haunted houses and corn mazes crop up all over.Halloween is, however, more... continue reading

Oldest Jewish Synagogue in Western USA

I love to photograph unique architecture, especially of historic buildings. Most communities possess some of these treasures. Here's one from my own area, the Jewish Synagogue in Boise, Idaho. Ahavath Beth Israel has been a landmark in Boise, Idaho since 1896 andis thought to be the oldest synagogue building in continuous use in the United States west of the Mississippi River. The synagogue features elements of Rundbogenstil (Round Arch Style) architecture, a nineteenth-century historic... continue reading

Sunset and Night Photography in Olympic National Park, USA

I recently took some time with my daughter to make the trip to Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park, Washington (state). We were taking advantage of a new moon to do some stargazing in the clear air at 5200 feet. We arrived before sunset and walked some of the area trails. The deer were very cooperative models. I took several shots of this male deer and positioned myself so I could capture the deer with the mountains in the background. He was feeding so his head was down most of the time.... continue reading

Announcing My Newly Started NYC Collection

As an east coast girl (USA), one of my very favorite places within a few hours driving distance to go play around for a day is New York City. There's no other place like it, I'm sure, and I have the most amazing time whenever I go there. It's been nearly a year since I last had the chance to get up there, and right now every fiber of my being is aching for a spare day and a good buddy free on the same day, to get our butts up to the "big apple".I'm sure many others can relate. One day soon, I'... continue reading

New York City

It seems that New York City is getting back to normalcy after the hurricane. Today was a very nice and sunny day and probably naked cowboy is entertaining the crowd on Times square as he was when I was there the last time.I decided to start a new album where I will share my photos from US. So far I just started and sold only one image of a Big Lawn in Central Park in winter! But hopefully, my collection will get bigger and better and not just with the photos of other Dreamstime members! Wish me... continue reading
