The business of wall art is complex and involves multiple publishers, distributors and online retailers as well as direct distribution to consumers through department stores, box stores and poster shops. Creating images for this market can be more profitable for photographers than trying to build a reputation as a fine artist although the two are... continue reading

Texture of paint.

The texture of the paint is always interesting and attractive. On this photo, the wall texture of the blue paint has a small addition in the upper right corner, while others have a noticeable color. This adds even more beauty to this photo. Paint in our lives - that's what's most important. The more of them - the brighter our life! continue reading

What's up with Landing Nets?

On a warm, sunny, calm morning in 1948, my mom, her Uncle Reuben, Aunt Olga, and her cousin’s wife JoAnne, were staying at a cabin on Fish Trap Lake in Minnesota. They were at the cabin for two weeks and it would be non-stop fishing. In fact they fished so much that when they were on shore if they looked at a spec on the floor it would bob up and down. Mom said that when she went to bed that the bed would rock like the boat. They were up early and had a quick breakfast of bacon and eggs. Aunt... continue reading

When the Berlin Wall was torn down more than a quarter-century ago, there were still 16 border fences around the world. Idaho Heritage continued

After I to the shoot of the rugged ridge. I got back in my pick-up and went back towards my home. I knew I was not finished. I had spotted a road that forked of Reynold's Creek road that I want to follow. I ended up at the mouth of this red rock canyon. It was to early in the morning to get a good shot of the canyon with the wagon track at the bottom. Canyon shots require noon to early afternoon photography, because of the steepness of the walls and the angle of the sun work together that time of... continue reading
