Tomorrow I am going to my first ever proper photography event. The local birds of prey centre has photography days every now and then, and I am going to one.The reason I am going is because my camera-related behaviour has led my family to view me as a cause for concern. It’s the school summer holidays in England at present, which means that it has been raining quite a bit. This, alongside my attempts to keep my son from permanently attaching himself to things with screens, has rather limited... continue reading

I am whispering a soft farewell here, not to dreamstime and the wonderful people on it, but to the year 2014. This year was a tough one, as I left my home in Michigan and moved in with parents to help them care for infant grandchildren. I became a licensed foster mom, relearned first aid, cpr and potty training, learned again how to exist on only a few hours of sleep, and basked in warm hugs and wet kisses and the beautiful weight of a tiny head sleeping against my breast.I learned a lot of things... continue reading

The Hopewell Rocks is located along the coast of the Bay of Fundy, which is home to the world’s highest tides. The Hopewell Rocks also called the Flowerpot Rocks because of their shape. In the summer, there are always very busy in this area, which makes it difficult to take some good pictures there as there are always many people walk across your... continue reading
