Dear DT community, I haven't been active on the site for almost 2 years now, because I've made a decision to refocus my photographic ambitions and interests following a more theatrical/artistic style.I've got no regrets doing that, however, it seems to me that I've reached something of a rut in my path. The problem arises with a feeling I have that each new project I start it doesn't end up pushing me towards something new or better. I don't get the feeling that I improve myself or my images... continue reading

As a photographer, you’ll never stop learning. However, it is sometimes challenging to find new places or new people to learn from. That is doubly true if you're unsure where to find quality photographs. The Internet is filled with websites and galleries that are open to everyone – Flickr.com is one example. Because anyone can post images, you'll soon find that it isn't easy to sift the snapshots and amateur images from the works of art. So where do you turn to advance your knowledge... continue reading
I am an older contributor but only recently I took thing a bit more serious. I had uploaded my first pics in 2009 pics and just waited to see what would happen to them. Things became interesting last year when I decided to upload more. Eventually I had more sales so I decided to keep uploading on a regular basis. My latest uploads are photos actually pictures I took in 2013 and I promise you, the best is yet to come. One thing I see certain: I just have to consistently upload more pics! The competition... continue reading
Focus can be thought of in two general ways in photography. There is the idea of focusing our creativity and our energy into making a great photograph and there is the physical act of focusing the camera. Both of these concepts are intimately linked and this article is going to explore just how that relationship works. Specifically I am going to address focus in wildlife and bird photography, but it can be applied to any type of photography.I cannot count how many times I see a great shot of a... continue reading
So it's August already... It seems the summer gets shorter every year. When I was young, summer seemed to take up almost half the year from everything we did, growing up on an island on the Swedish west coast. This year I haven't even had time to visit said island yet, but it's coming ;)Despite spending half the summer in less that stellar health, I would never call it wasted though. I've brought up a small pup into a large pup, my old dog passed his yearly exam to remain a medical alert assistance... continue reading
If you ever need a break, if you ever need a place to run away or just want a weekend out consider a visit to The Danube Boilers. Placed in the south-west corner of Romania, Danube Boilers are a magical place where the river carved the mountains and made a great new geographical form. It's a place where you can drink your coffe in the morning on river shore and simply listen to the silence of nature. Even tough it's a touristic area (Dubova and Eselnita villages)... continue reading

A hypothetical question.150,000+ contributors , 19 million+ images online, every day, competition is getting tougher and tougher each day .Creativity needs to take a notch up of each day that pass by.Just like this imagetrying to come up with something interesting about humming birds in flight.I initially thought becoming a stock contributor back in 2006 and seen possible potential , but got busy with other priorities, sostock photography was put on the side.
