The water cycle - my first animated video on Dreamstime

The Water CycleWater or hydrological cycle reflects continuous and neverending movement of water in the nature. The water moves and changes its form during the processes of evaporation, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, surface runoff, and subsurface flow. These transformations also involves the exchange of energy. One of the side effects of water cycle can be the re-shaping the surface of the Earth.   continue reading

The world is changing - Assingment Save the Earth

Hello ,As a little child I remember how the world was a mystery. I was born after the revolution in Romania in 1989. I do not know how it was 28 years ago in the world but where I was born things were not very pink, everything was in a shade of gray.In time, the world began to change for the better, got the color. People have become more attentive in the care of the Earth. I remember that at the age of 14 I enrolled as a volunteer at a foundation where we cleaned parks and planted trees. Shipwrecked - Team Vestas Wind - Volvo Ocean Race

A few weeks ago I had press accreditation for the Volvo Ocean Race start in Alicante Spain. Over ten days I took over 7,000 photos. The highlight of the week for me was being invited aboard Team Vestas Wind and the chance to meet the crew. All of the crew members that I met spoke to me as if I were a good friend of theirs.I did not imagine what was going to happen to the boat and crew a few weeks later, or the importance of the abandon ship list that I took a photo of.   ... continue reading

Shoot the wind ...

In the month of September, I decided to give photography a go.Armed with my modest fujifilm - I took random shots of my surroundings (like a tourist, lol); you need to know the limitations of your camera before you embark on a photo shoot.I quickly learnt that there was a whole new language in the world of photography: noise, negative space, stock oriented images and so on.I went to research these concepts and started to understand what make a good image.Refused files came with critiques... continue reading

Wind Energy

Last month i was traveling across the country and i noticed somethingthat it was a rare thing in these parts 10 years ago: wind turbines. Maybe now people understand that protecting the environment is really an important thing. The importance of wind power are numerous like for example: is plentiful, is clean and most importantly it doesn't produce the greenhouse gas. Unfortunately in 2010 the world wide use of wind turbines was only 2.5% of total energy use. It is expected that this number to increase... continue reading

The Second Wind!

Summer is drawing to a close and I've spent the last couple of weeks puttering around being lazy with the kiddos before school starts. Hence, the tutus :)I don't think I've ever spent $10 so wisely as I did when I bought everything to make them for the kids. And even though they've worn them everywhere, they've gotten their use out of them and they also made for some cute photos. So now that my oldest is back in school, that leaves me with my 2 year old at home. Gonna be really really quiet, but... continue reading
