Crater Lake

I had a great photo of Crater Lake from years ago taken with a point and shoot on a beautiful sunny summer day with the deep blue of the lake really showing it's stuff!I have always wanted to go back.We happened to go to Sunriver in Feb and I told my husband we definitely needed to take a side trip to Crater Lake.It was a 2 hour trip each way since we had to go way south since the north entrance to the lake is closed for the winter. And when we got there it was a treacherous climb over the... continue reading

A Present of Presence

In winter season while theweather is growing colder, even the wood smoke out of the neighbors chimney could be seen as the last breath of the dead one. Norther in Europe, where the seasons are clear, daytime shelter deprived people of sunlight. Just look around - what a beautiful melancholic atmosphere!     Today we associate melancholy with longing and nostalgia, but in the time of Aristotle, melancholy was understood as a specific physiological condition caused by a body inbalance,... continue reading

Trailer Travels

A recent trip to the So. Rim, Grand Canyon during a snow storm created some challenging photographic conditions so I thought I would share as it might be helpful to less experienced shooters as I once was. It was cold, snowing and wind driven conditions, making itless than ideal to create some good stock photography.Nevertheless I was there so I was going to make the most of a 2-day stay.Knowing that the train pulls in at about 11:30AM andwhere I wanted to capture the shot I calculated... continue reading

The concept: Autumn leaves

Some days ago I took my camera equipped with a macro lens and went to the nearby forest, I was looking for the concept "Autumn to Winter".I wanted to show somehow the decay of the Autumn leaves as fungus and bacteria separate their components and "help them" to join the soil of the earth again, As the minerals which they contained go back to the ground, the roots of the tree from which they fell one windy Autumn day will absorb them and reincorporate them to the tree.. to produce new leaves next... continue reading

An Old Oak Tree

That's an old oak tree with unknown history. Its massive trunk and expressive branches have enchanted our look. I would say nothing is holier, nothing is more exemplary than a beautiful, strong tree. And even more I adore it when it stands alone, like a lonely person or a sanctuary.By the way, under the tree was found a fresh sign of moose sleeping place. Unfortunately, the mammal king of a forest has left it before we came in a scene.    Probably most of you have a photo of a tree... continue reading
