Boy, with a blog title like that, it sounds like someone is chewing on sour grapes. :-) Naw... what happened is the Apocalypse Assignment closed for entries on January 18. On January 19 I was out shooting and came across the perfect background scene for a concept I've been wanting to do for a long time. On the 20th I shot the model, edited the image, and waited a very long time (like everyone else) for the image to be approved. Many of the Assignment subjects and images really won't sell very well... continue reading
Sometimes you take a shot, you kind of like the image and then it starts to get a few accolades. This image was one of 10 I entered last year in the World Photographed of the year competition. It was entered into the urban wildlife section and went on to make it to the 3rd round of judging. It was really astonishing to me as I thought the other 9 images were better. This image has also now won me a competition in a South African travel and outdoor magazine to be published in February.Maybe its... continue reading

The reason is that pictures are rejected, but accepted else were.As a full exclusive photographer for Dreamstime you cannot sell these rejected images on another stock agency. This maybe oke for now, but you never know where you are in 10 years.Unless you have an acceptance ratio of 100%, my opinion is: don't. continue reading
I tried to think of a different "I've reached a hundred" blog. Unfortunately this is the best I could do. :-) I'm happy at last to be in triple figures. It's tiny I know in comparison to others. Hats off to all those who have hundreds and thousands of images online. Not sure if I'll be joining you soon. continue reading
