I spend a lot of time outdoors photographing. Sometimes driving for over an hour, then hiking deep into the forest to find that special image that every art director will want to buy (or at least that is my hope!).Lately, though, time and weather have not been cooperating with me.Because of this, I have found that I have been overlooking a treasure in my own backyard.Siting on my deck one evening I noticed all the activity on and around my deck.I grabbed my camera and started shooting.... continue reading

When you come from a tiny island in the Caribbean Sea you spend a great deal of time looking outwards to the rest the world and particularly to the places that you hear most about. My portfolio is a reflection of that. I love Tuscany, in Italy and I love the amazement of incredible India. I share the color and spirituality I found in India and the home of some of the best wines in the world through the vineyard tours in Italy. But what can I give the rest of the world from the Caribbean?I share... continue reading
We’ve all been there- you’re going on a big trip to an exciting destination and you want to make sure you come back with some amazing photographs to document your trip and the locations you visited. However, despite your best intentions (and ambitions!), the reality is that 1) you’re going to a relatively unfamiliar place, and 2) your time and photo opportunities there are limited due to the length of your stay. Every community has an old cemetery that reeks of history and amazing art.The craftsmanship practiced by the artists that created the images for grave markers that have stood the test of tome. This first example is of an entrance to a very old graveyard in Cleveland Ohio. The very old entrance archway is a work of architectural art in itself.constructed of cut stone and created by a master stone-cutter, it is... continue reading
I'm back from a trip to South Africa, which was not my first stay in this beautiful country, but this time the experience of feeling like being on very special and wonderful place was very precise for me. (Not that I closed my eyes at all the political problems like the poorness in the townships. No, I remarked the growing of the poverty in this districts. One of the reasons for this ist the climate changing so that in Central Africa the habitat conditions get worse and the people migrate to... continue reading

I'm bored!there's nothing to take pictures of!gosh I live in a flat, yucky part of the world.. now if I lived (___fill in the blank) then I would have the best photos and the most sales here!If only I could win the lottery and travel all over the word, the best camera you can buy strapped around my neck...Have to admit.. doesn't some of those phrases run blithely across our minds at least a few times a day? well summer is here and I have to admit, its hot, I'm broke, and I'm working two... continue reading
One easy technique to capture great flower pictures is to plant them in your yard. This will allow you to photograph the flowers when they are budding, to blooming, to losing their luster at anytime during the day without ever having to leave your yard.Having the ability to take the pictures from dusk to dawn allows you to capture interesting native insects that may be hiding among the petals or feeding on the nectar. All you have to do is walk outside and snap away.Heck, you can even take... continue reading
