The Eyes Have It

Facial expressions and body language can either make or break a photo. Again and again we see images that would be successful if only there was emotion in the image instead of a subject with a bored look or a blank stare. How can you get your models more engaged with your camera to get more positive results?First of all stop falling in love with the dark and depressing look. Eye bags can be unaesthetic, especially in female portraits. To fix eye bags with Photoshop there are several methods, my favored approach is the Retouching by Curves Layerbecause it leaves intact the color and skin texture.         Open you image in Adobe Photoshop.1. Create new Curves Adjustment Layer.2. Select Curves Layer.3. Double click on 'Sample in image to set black point' (Set Sample Size 31x31).4. Click on the Health Skin near eye bag area to... continue reading

Creature's eyes

One of the items I learned about shooting images of creatures is to make sure the eyes are sharp. These eyes will draw you in and provide a visually striking image. Luckily, the spider is only about 5mm(0.25 inch) in length. While i was taking the image it was interesting to watch the... continue reading
