The Second Wind!

Summer is drawing to a close and I've spent the last couple of weeks puttering around being lazy with the kiddos before school starts. Hence, the tutus :)

I don't think I've ever spent $10 so wisely as I did when I bought everything to make them for the kids. And even though they've worn them everywhere, they've gotten their use out of them and they also made for some cute photos.

So now that my oldest is back in school, that leaves me with my 2 year old at home. Gonna be really really quiet, but I plan on catching up on some still life, maybe some food photos, who knows?!?! I'm sad to have her grow up, but at the same time, almost giddy that I have a few extra moments to spend on something just for me. Plus this Friday I'll be doing my first maternity shoot. (I know, I'm still wet behind the ears, those of you who are veterans are probably chuckling lol) So I'm pretty excited about that as well... New beautiful location that I stumbled upon, a new family that chose me out of dozens of photographers (seems like everyone and their brother calls themselves a photographer these days, especially in my neck of the woods)... Life doesn't get much better. Officially catching my second wind!!!

Thanks for sharing! Lovely phototos!

Thanks!! I don't know about where you're at, but in our area the tutus are a big deal, every little girl has at least one, and I couldn't see spending a ton of money on them so, (as much of a failure as I am at anything crafty lol) I decided to learn how to make them myself. These were the first set I made, I don't think they turned out too terribly bad lol they wore them anyway! I'm looking forward to have some time to be creative and think things through before I take a photo, usually I'm more of an in the moment photographer, and with the time that I'll have, it's going to be fun for me to not have to rush! :)
