Stories of fortune and misfortune in this friday 13.

The world divides the bad luck in two days: Friday 13 (sd Tuesday for Spain and America) and Friday 17 (for Italy).

But what you do you know about these two numbers? You may not know, but their history is very interesting!

The number 13 has different symbologies: 13 is the number of tarot of death, 13 is the number of diners at the Last Supper, 13 is the number associated with the revolt of Lucifer, 13 is the day when it was decided the end of knights Templar.

All unfortunate events .... or not? In fact one of these 13 is not a symbol of bad luck: The Tarot of death, despite the name, doesn't bring any bad luck really. According to the symbolism of the tarot, it represents mainly the change, the closing of a period and the opening of another one. Only in rare cases it represents really dead!

With 17 no, there is no escape. The number 17 is the bad luck and death: XVII written in Latin, is an anagram for the Latin word, VIXI. Now, all you who have studied Latin, you know that VIXI is the perfect tense of the verb "live", so we have a "lived" which means not living anymore, so being dead!

But the meanings are not over: Joseph in the Bible, was sold by his brothers at the age of 17 years, the Great Flood began, according to Genesis, on 17 and 17 was a day when three Roman legions were destroyed in the battle of Teutoburg Forest. Finally, the 17 is not assigned in the Italian motor racing after the death of some drivers who wore that number.

Here are two unlucky numbers for the world! But what will really bring bad luck? The 13 or 17?

And if it was neither? It may, in fact, be the number 4 unlucky, who, according to Japanese tradition, is pronounced like the ideogram of death.

Good luck or bad luck .... at the end I don't think that these days are unlucky, but the stories surrounding these numbers are fascinating, isn't it?

It was a pleasure .... but also a "professional deformation": I have made studies of comics, and they taught me to be very curious about things around me;)

However, I am happy that you enjoyed this writing.
