Last weekend I took on my first formal session with a fantastic couple who were recently married. And I have to say, I think after years of not knowing why I was put on this earth other than to be a mother, I think I might have figured it out: Photography.
The day was perfect, the rain held off for us to get our outdoor session done and the results were more than what I had hoped they would be! I was so excited when I got to editing them and I was over the moon when the couple expressed how pleased they were with their photographs!
All the worry was for nothing, except for a semi-shy groom it was absolute perfection! I celebrated that night with the booking of four more clients for outdoor shoots at the same location and I can't wait for the time to come. The energy is amazing when you get into that creative groove and just go with things.
Below is the one photo from that session I uploaded to DT, it's my favorite out of the whole album and to me, it's one of my best shots. It's simple, elegant and for this couple, it said exactly who they were, and what they were about. Thanks for all the support guys!!
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind and encouraging words! I hope to keep pecking away and adding to my portfolio in the next few weeks as I'll be very busy behind the camera. Life is so so so so so so good right now. And it just keeps getting better. I love doing this and I can't imagine doing anything else until I take my last breath. And even then, someone better come hit the review button on my Nikon because there will probably be some sweet shots on there! :) haha
Great! Congratulations! :)
Congratulations Bri, you have a smoll portfolio, but is very nice!
Thank you all!
I am amazed still at how far my photography has come since I've joined up. And I don't mean that in a bragging sort of way, I'm just sort of amazed at myself and that I'm getting the hang of things and can run with the "big dogs" (as someone once told me). This is all just such a journery. Good for the soul. :)
And hopefully eventually the pocketbook as well, that would be an added bonus! :)
Nice, Great shot !
All your pictures look great........... the baby sleeping, the birds in the nest...........you are doing great. David.
I was proud of this because I have trouble seeing any of my photos from a non-personal point of view. When I look at this I don't associate a face with the shot, I don't feel like it has that "snapshot" look to it. Maybe that's why I like it so much, I finally got a shot that (to me) is worthy of being on this website! :)
A great detail ...congrats
congrats and wishing you many more
What a great shot... I understand why they were pleased with the outcome... =)
