It does, I have many images sold due to blogging.
I think it does help improve exposure not sure about the sales though. I really use it as a network tool to learn more really
Blogs are one of the numerous tools in the website that allow you to get more exposure but they can't guarantee you more sales. Good images and pertinent key wording are key to success.
i write blogs simply to network with the others in the community.also, whenever you write a useful blog, the editor awards you a credit.i use that credit to buy a download from someone i know well. so, in a way, there is a correlation between regular blogs and downloads, in the sense that if there is a number of other people getting credits for writing a blog, they might use their blog credits to download one of your images.in that sense, certainly then, yes, there is a sale correlation .
Maybe increases the portfolio exposure but no quarantee for sales.
In my case there are two categories. Sometimes I get some sales right after blogging, sometimes blogging does not change anything, that means: no sales. Each category accounts for about 50 percent.
I have seen that everytime I write a new blog, the wiews increase and the sells too. For example today I wrote a blog and got 6 sells right away, while in the last two days I didn't sell anything
Yes, I agree with Retina. When I publish a blog article I note that my images views rise. But not the selling ;)
Blogging helps with portfolio exposure. Definitely helps for members that have small portfolios. If the blog is useful to others, it will be pushed to useful blogs section which gives your blog and in turn gives your portfolio longer exposure. So it definitely helps to write useful blogs. I hope that helps. Cheers.
