Suggestion for refused assignment files

Hi everybody!

I absolutely love the site and love to showcase my work here.I'm hopelessly excited about the fact that my new assignment image got downloaded within a couple of hours of getting approved. (101d 7v) :)

I have a suggestion regarding refused assignment files that would save time for the editors as well as DT users.

Some of the refused assignment files are good enough to be part of ones portfolio.Hence it'd be nice to have a check box on the assignment image upload page, wherein the user chooses to make his/her refused assignment file a regular Level 1 image in his/her portfolio.

It can read "Add to portfolio as level 1 image if rejected for assignment."

This would definitely reduce the inconvenience caused in re uploading refused assignment files.

Happy creating :)

Yep, something similar to the small box where you can tick that if the uplaod does not meet the standards, it can be used as a free image.

Happy 2010,
thanks for adding your comment to my latest blog. it's always lovely to make direct contact with other contributors here . I enjoy the interaction as we have a common interest as creative artists in either media.
You have an excellent style and portfolio. It's lovely to be unique , isn't it?

Hi Armando thanks very much for your comment. I hope the admins give the idea a second thought.

@Joe thank you for your comment.the idea of having a pop-up screen seems perfect. I hope Nikitu finds it interesting as well ;)

Great illustrations and suggestion, Seema!

Nikitu, perhaps adding to what Seema had already had "Add to portfolio as level 1 image if rejected for assignment..., and if accepted as a regular file, you agree to abide by the regular terms and conditions"? (obviously proper wording will need to be used, but something along that line)

Since all participants of the assignment have at least 50 uploads, they'd be familiar with the regular terms and conditions anyway. Also, you can add a pop up screen to remind them of the regular terms and conditions. Just an idea. :)

Wow Seema! Great ilustrations!
Didn't find a better way of leaving you a comment :)
But I do agree with this suggestion of yours. With that extra click and extra agreement could save a lot of time to everyone.

We can always have a link "Read terms & conditions"

Unfortunately that is impossible because the terms and conditions differ between assignment and regular file. That is why the image has to be submitted as regular.

that would be much better then having to re upload it as a normal file also it would help the contributors since you wouldent have that file count as a 50% AR since it is good enough for a normal but not an assignment

I agree with you, I think it would be a really useful idea!

Hi Maigi, thnks for your comment. I hope the editors think this to be a good idea as well.

It depends on assignment review process, I don't know how it goes, but it sounds a good idea. PS: You have really great illustrations! Good luck!

Thank you all for your comments :)

I would like to see something like this implemented as well, I pay a lot for bandwidth so if I can get away with having to resubmit an image it would be a great help.

Excellent idea! Then reviewers only need to look at it once. Makes a lot of sense to me :0)

Good idea, love your illustrations!
