Time to buy

I'm just asking myself when buyers do buy images, how many days or months in advance.

For example: do they get pictures with summer-content in springtime? Or far earlier? Winter-images in summer?

Is there anybody out there who can explain that to me?

Thanks to all of you!

I buy pictures for website designs. I search them a bit in advance (1-2 weeks, while thinking over the project), and buy just before I start to work.

I agree with what Treasurehunter22 said... There are monthly, weekly magazines, sites, newsletters, press editions many fields that no estimation for the time when buyers need it!
If you are asking about the occasions it's better to have your upload 2 months before that specific date!
Hope that is helpful! Cheers!

I think it depends on what the project is. When I do the newsletter for my company, I work on it 3 months in advance. Right now I'm doing the layout for the April edition, so I'm looking for spring photos. I know that producing catalogs takes a very long time...sometimes months. It really depends.
