Travelling Mexico - Riviera Maya - Dreamstime
Let's start saying that I love to travel and all the times I get the opportunity to do it, I just bring my backpack and go.
This time I flew all the way to Cancun, a beautiful city on the mexican coast, rich under many aspects, like the not further Playa del Carmen, a touristic place where to relax, sunbath, go sail, snorkel or just enjoy the Mexican food.
We then move down following the famous Riviera Maya and ended up for a few days in Tulum, a wonderful place where you can see some amazing ruins by the shoreline.
From that city you can then visit the 8th beauty of the World, the pyramid of Chichen-itza and all the big complex with the temples, houses, the great cenote of the long lost Mayan world, it's like a jump in the past
Otherwise can reach the National Park of Cobà to go see other beautiful Mayan ruins in the middle of the forest and climb the tallest one to view the beautiful panorama from the top, if you don't get all the rain we did!
We went see even a sanctuary of the turtles but unfortunately I didn't have any waterproof camera, so won't be able to share any underwater pics, it'll be for the next time.
We were soon on Bacalar, a not really well known place yet, but there's an amazing lagoon and a few cenotes in and out the sea.
It'd really long to tell all the places we got to visit in one blog, so I'll save the rest of the trip for the next and hope it's making you want to backpack and go.
See you soon...
