Video section on Dreamstime is ONLINE!

This is a very good news for video... sorry! photographers... :) WHY?!

As Israel 'Izzy' Hyman said in an article, "Over the past couple years, I have noticed that there is a group of people who are getting into video in a big way right now. Who are they? Photographers!

It only makes sense for a few reasons:

- Photographers are interested in capturing imagery.

- Their gear frequently has video capabilities too (such as the Canon 5D Mark II).

- They might have clients asking for video along with photography.

- Photographers already know a lot of what they need to know to shoot amazing video, because photography and videography have so much in common."

As Serban announced yesterday "Time to dream again, take two: video clips are now available for sale. From the old school SD to the high-definition 1080 and the dramatic ultra HD 4k. Videographers, submit your video clips! Sky's the limit!"

And this is my first clip, Full HD, 30 fps, wide angle lens:

wow.. i can sell my footage in DT :)

Thanks Mudplucker :-)

Thanks Alvera, i did find this useful and clicked the button. I might start thinking about video too.

Thanks! I will check and work on the codec and report later.

The problem is not the container (avi or mp4), is the codec. You must convert your video to MJPEG, this is the only codec accepted by Dreamstime. If you use Windows as OS, please download this tool from internet, is free: MPEG_Streamclip_1.2
Load your video in this tool and export it as MJPEG.
More info here, at the section SOFTWARE and also at the end, Formats, codecs & compressions:

Okay, just provide some info on my samples. Don't want to deviate from this blog. Video Formats I uploaded AVI (opens with windows player) and MP4 (opens with Quicktime player), both at 1280x720p HD. Duration at 29 ~ 30 seconds. Data rate 3155kbps, 29 fps,. Audio at 63kbps, sample rate 48khz. All got error of wrong format after I upload via FTP. All shot from Video mode with my Canon SX-150IS compact cam, edited with videopad

@Unteroffizier: please read this and you will understand:
If not, ask for help. Give me info about camera used.

I wonder what are the formats DT accepts? Though it was stated but I uploaded a couple of simple videos but format wasn't recognized.
