What Do You Have in YOUR Attic?

Last year, I traveled through Scandinavia, with a side trip to St. Petersburg. The trip was amazing, especially the time in Russia. I would go back in a minute if I could.

While I was in St. Petersburg, I ventured out to Peterhof, Peter the Great's rural palace. I was struck by the beauty of the palace, and took quite a few pictures.

I didn't consider them for Dreamstime--I guess to me they meant good memories, not potential sales.

By chance, I found a request on the discussion boards for Peterhof. I looked through my photos from that trip, and found a few that seemed relevant. Now, a couple days later, I have four images accepted, and I am hoping at least one is useful for the discussion board requester.

So, my question is: What's in YOUR attic? What do you have that might be useful for stock?

I haven't scanned much myself. Let us know how it goes!

I am combing my archives (which for digital don't go that far back!) and have come across quite a few that have been accepted. I'm trying to figure out the best method to scan in some of my older stuff, which may have real relevance but I haven't yet figured out the scanning ABC's.

Good point. I browsed the photo requests and added a photo that was similar to the request, but didn't match it in fact. I didn't post it there, but thought it might have potential. The request was of kids swimming and I had a photo on a similar subject. A couple of weeks later it had 4 downloads. A simple visit on the photo requests boards, reading titles, can bring a lot of inspiration.

There is no doubt about that - since the age of 4 I've been to over 25 countries, and lived a year in Bangladesh!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Looks like you have done your share of traveling!

I went through the attic recently and pulled a few photos from China which seemed timely (one sold so far) and one from the Panama Canal a few years ago:
