What’s up with Dogs?
Years ago my parents and I were camping at Temperance River State Park along the north shore of Lake Superior. Dad and I went for a walk down to the shore to check out the lake from our campsite. The trail went through the woods and down a slight grade. There was a turn in the trail about two hundred yards in front of us and a little black dog came around that turn and was headed straight for us. He came running to see us and we were talking to him and dad was petting him. The dog’s owner then came up the trail and stopped to talk to us. The dog was very small and probably weighted about three to four pounds. I asked what the dog’s name was. His owner said that he named him Hercules to build his confidence.
