WINTERLUDE my first winter shoot
dancing in the snow,
parents racing their children against other parents in sleigh race,
tobaganning down the ski slope with a giant rubber tire,
police on horse back ,
daddy piggybacking two kids breathing vapor watching no doubt
mommy racing sleigh ,etc..
they all look like fun , don't they?
but no one knows that I was freezing my you know what off , being a summer person, and worst, my naked hands were freezing from taking the shots.
i was dressed very warmly with layers from new winter clothings I got as Christmas presents from my best friend.
and i was famished with only a cup of coffee and some dried ginger for breakfast, or rather brunch.
i slept in from working with my photos till 3 am the night, or rather the morning before, but i wasn't going to let this festival passed me by as i missed it last winter.
i am by nature , and by training, an events photographer. i love editorials, it was my very first job as a freelance photographer ions ago when i first graduated from NYI.
It was so good shooting people; with my camera that is.
I shoot people for fun and money, lol..
yes, that is the name of my blog when I was working as a contributor to the local newspaper in Halifax.
And how I love shooting people for fun and money!!!
I just wish I was famous enough and earn more money so I can afford a space heater or a photo assistant who will tag along with me carrying a portable heater while I shoot outdoors in this frigid Montreal winter.
Mais Oui, the winter is Montreal is frigging cold . You're better off in an ice box than outdoors during this season.
And how my heart longs for Spring. One more month to go with this double digit below zero celsuis daily ordeal.
Oh come soon Spring !!! Go away Old Man Winter !!!
You can see how cold it was from the vapor coming out of the horse's nostril, or the breath of the daddy carrying his babies.
