Have you ever thought, are you a professional photostock photographer?
Have you ever thought, who are all those guys who are earning lots of money this way?
I did. And I have answers. They are relevant for me only but you can try them if they match you. Or you can find your own answers.
So, I'm not
a professional photostocker. I love taking photos for about 25 years yet. I really LOVE it. I love the process of taking photos, processing photos for publishing, for web or just for home archive. But I ain't a professional photographer still. Not a professional photographer.
Why? I don't earn money with it. I don't really want my lovely hobby to become my everyday job. I don't really want to be obliged to take new photos every day. I'm not ready for it yet. In fact I do the same almost every day, but just as a kind of relaxation, not as an obligation. No terms, no limits, no obligations to customers. And I'm not dependent of incomes from selling photos. You can ask me now
, how much have I sold? Not much yet. Could I sell more? I suppose, I could. But I don't know would I be satisfied with the result if it was the only my income, my job, whether not. Am I satisfied now? Yes, I am! I'm proud of the result every time my image is sold. I feel satisfaction, pride, I smile and I'm getting feel good for hours since then. Selling images I buy good mood and satisfaction.
So, who are all those guys who are earning lots of money this way? I'll tell you next time. Stay tuned!
