October 22, 2008

I just started here this month and I'm waiting to see if my first set goes up for sail. I still have about 48 hours left on my first two pieces and about 135 hours on the other 17 pieces. Anyone have any pointers? I am an amatuer photographer and Graphic Illustrator.

Sept. is my best months and beginning of Oct. is better,
but the sales are going down from last week.

October 20, 2008

I'm an optimist and always refer to the headache & aspirin theory. Companies may want to reduce their spend with big city agencies so insteps us with top creative & low overheads, boom everyones a winner

DLs are going down, revenue going up, because RPD is increasing a little bit almost every month.

September 30, 2008

a bit down in summer ... picking up lately ... so it's all good ... as long as I increase quality & quantity ... I know I'm trying :-))

September 29, 2008

I've been here 2 years now and September has been my best month ever at DT.

September 29, 2008

I have done well on editorial shots. The rest, a lot slower.

September 29, 2008

hi all
mine are moving up slowly, but ive only been here 9 mos so i dont have a long period to judge.

September 29, 2008

Mine are normal, no increase. Infact considering the online files ratio last year at this time and today... its totally down.. say I had 1000 files last year and sales of 200, today i have 2500 files online and 175 sales. I think it is definitely to do with the bad economy. Because even if we consider that my new files after the first 1000 are bad, the sales shouldn't drop down with the portfolio more than doubled.

September 29, 2008

at work, my company has downloaded more images this month than in the past 4 months... clients wanting more than one picture on their piece. So hang in there guys! It'll pick up!!!

Sales better than Jul/Aug, but haven't yet been with DT for a full year so can't judge if ups and downs are normal seasonal fluctuations or due to other factors, like economy.

September 29, 2008

flat and slightly reducing each month.

September 29, 2008

still blank...

September 29, 2008

This september is very disappointing for me and things are going quite bad: the Sales are only slighty more than August (which was'nt a bad month for me, considering the summer and less files in portfolio than now) ...but the RPD is PAINFULLY low , and I am having some "blank" periods of also 3 days! (with over 600 portfolio images!! :-((( ) .
Perhaps I must produce less images and mainly less pointless images...
The first rule of the stock is patience... but after six months my frustration is very high... by the way, let's go for october, now....hope will be better...

September 28, 2008

Mine are up. Even without my first EL this month, this is my BME here on DT!

September 28, 2008

I am having my BME my sales doubled this month.

September 28, 2008

record month so far after a very slow August! :)

September 27, 2008

My sales have gone down slightly for the month, but I just need to upload MORE!

September 27, 2008

up :D

September 27, 2008

Mine are slightly up, but I suppose it's the result of the good work DT has done lately (price increase, new partnerships), while the bad economy is pulling down a bit

It will be my best month ever

Me too.
My sales are going up.

September 26, 2008

Better ... I think. The per sale amount is higher!

It's so difficult to quantify though. The demands have to be somewhat cyclical. If my portfolio only had pictures of people swimming in the ocean, I'd guess this would be my slump season. Foliage shots and models with fall attire might do better around now. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah pics might be on the rise, graduation pictures probably won't do well until the end of winter/beginning of spring, etc, etc... I would guess that the seasonal elements could even be more of a subtlety on thematic shots... people could choose something that fits the season without even realizing that they're doing it.

If a well-rounded portfolio equals consistent sales, then I consider my portfolio square (or perhaps flat...)
