FAQ / I submitted an image as RF commercial but it got approved as RF editorial-only. I didn't select this license. Why did it happen?
Under some circumstances images that can't be sold commercially (i.e. include visible logos) can be accepted under the editorial license (still RF, but with a more restrictive usage). The editors may consider that the image cannot be adjusted (i.e. remove logos) in order to make it acceptable under the RF license, but that the image has market potential. In this case they will accept it under the editorial license. This procedure avoids a second resubmission as well as affecting the contributor's approval ratio.
