I know... just 2 days but on other sites they say that they get sales the first days they uploaded content. But I know I have to be more patience. I am just having a bad feeling about it but I know I have to give it some weeks.

Yes, it´s a new situation for you. everything is uncertain

My first month after leaving exclusivity was terrible, but now. I love it !!! can´t imagine to go exclusive. I get so many mails now like " Congratulations " " one of your pictures has just been sold " ;-)

Hi Twindesign,

From what people use to post in forums, there is not a rule. While some portfolios sell very well in some sites, others sell better in others microstocks. I think you did a right move doing this test. Even if you change your mind in the future.

Thanks for keeping us up to date :)

Cheers!

What prevents you from keeping your exclusivity and uploading other images...(Ones not uploaded to DT) to other agencies?

Good question. I guess there is no restrictions on that. But I never read the DT exclusivity contract.

Not treu. Exclusive is total exclusive. You are not allowed to upload ANY images to other agency's. You can put some images on exclusive if you are not full exclusive and if they don't get accepted at other agency's. But if you are 100% exclusive you cannot.

You can keep individual images as exclusive on DT and still upload elsewhere, but you cannot be an exclusive photographer (whole portfolio) on DT and do the same. The difference, however, is the you only get a 10% boost in royalty, not the 60% if you just have exclusive images. Still - a good choice for shots that sell really well here, or ones you can't get accepted elsewhere.

My 2 cents worth: I started as a buyer and just started selling a couple months ago. DT has been very patient with me while i am learning. I like the people here and for me it isn't about money, even though i don't have any money :) ..... so I will never sell anywhere else. If money is your primary goal, the more people you have out selling for you, the more money you outta make. If it is really just for fun, stay with DT

Please keep us updated with how everything works out for you! :)

I'm exclusive because it is a hobby for me and it's just too much effort to spend time sorting and editing with more than one agency. If I ever stopped being exclusive it would be because I wanted to get into the RM field. I just don't have the time.

Best wishes to you!

It can take up to six months for your images to fully integrate and circulate in other agency databases. You need lots of patience.

I have to be patience but I am having the feeling already that I might return to exclusivity in a few weeks. Maybe I have to be more patience... I will keep you up to date.

Hello,

could you tell me please, how fast you can stop exclusivity? I've heard that a few month must pass, only then you can stop beiing exclusive..

Thanks, Darius

Be careful, if you break before being exclusive for 6 months they can (will?) Recover the upload bonus and additional earnings...

I dream of becoming the type of photo submitter that every stock agency dreams about having but then they can't have me because I'll be exclusive to DT, simply because they had lots of patience with me when my photos were among the worst ever submitted by anyone, and also because they are really great, friendly people and i like them !
