Quoted Message: So, I`ve been following this thread since the beginning (not with a special intention, I messaged once and was too lazy to uncheck the subscription box) :) I always see (including myself) waiting for a "sale" for days, getting upset etc :))Sometimes I find myself cheering up with a subscription sale, which makes 0,42$. I`m sure I never get such a cheerful feeling if someone comes over and says "Here, 1 dollar for you!" :))So here is the question; Is it the income ($$$) or is it the feeling of being the creator of an art work, worth to be paid and used?Related song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcXMhwF4EtQ :)
I agree with Igor!:)...some mixture.......:)I think...:-)
Quoted Message: Igor, I have 1800 uploads right now. If divided by 2,702702702(702) is 666. Please send me one image for upload! I want one with some beautiful stars like just only you do.
Oh, Your Majesty... Unfortunately the next chancе to shoot the stars will come in a couple of months. It's impossible to shoot the sky in Moscow where the fu..,ng "light pollution" is just terrible. But the best shoot will be for you, I promise. If you will not execute me for not performing your request immediately, of course...

Bogdanzagan is mostly talking about other agencys. I have had them also. Extended sales are more often in the other agency's. But still the credit sales at Dreamstime are amazing compared to that. No other agency is so royal to their contributors as Dreamstime is. I'm not ecxlusive anymore but if you are you are okey here if it feels good for you. There is no other agency that gives you daily credit sales and shares $5 to $15 per sale with you! I love Dreamstime for that!
And now back to topic. ;) I've had some bad days also. Days with just subscriptions and no credit sales. I'm at €80.60 for this month but that is only because of the credit sales from Dreamstime at the beginning of this month. I must say that it's not a Great month in sales but you can't win every month. I ALWAYS have a period were you hardly get any credit sales but then after maximum 1,5 weeks Dreamstime rewards your patience and give you days with many credit sales and your balance shoots up! I am selling since 2011 and it has been like this since the beginning. Ups and downs. So don't worry. Sales will return.
Quoted Message: I`ve been at DreamsTime for four years and three months and this is the FIRST TIME EVER SOMEONE GOT IT RIGHT.There have been many, many threads like this and they are always full of bad advice and always full of excuses. Only the "chosen few" rank high in the searches. The DT programmers are idiots because they don`t know how to write a decent algorithm. Once a Contributor complained about how Buyers are stupid because none of them knew how to conduct a proper search. There are two reasons why a portfolio will under-perform: (1) The portfolio is filled with subjects that do not sell well (2) The portfolio is filled with images that are not up to par with the competition. This does not mean a Contributor is a bad photographer/illustrator. Everyone, even Yuri Arcurs, places somewhere on the learning curve and still has much to learn about the industry. The wonderful thing about stock is it`s a job/business where you can progress at your own pace. But the first step is to stop making excuses and SELF CRITIQUE your portfolio and find ways to advance.
Quoted Message: 342 images and only 4 sales in MAy. If you think that is bad I only had 1 sale in April. Maybe my images are just not good enough and I should give up.
You have many outdoor and nature images, very hard to sell this kind of photos. Don't give up, try to find/hire a model. Look at Top contributors here: https://www.dreamstime.com/statistics-community and see if you can find a photo without people :)
Thank you for reply,Twindesign!Khellon,I agree with Parkinsonsniper and Alvera,I think you can find a lots of subjects to shoot.Don't give up,Khellon!Keep uploading and be patient, sales will come!Cheers!:)
