Going Exclusive Question

ecadphoto
Hello! I am thinking of applying to be an excluive contributor to Dreamstime. If I apply, how long do I have to remove photos from other stock sites and close the corresponding accounts? Also, what do the weekly submission limits go up to once becoming exclusive? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I would think you would need to take care of your other accounts first - as once you apply and are approved your images go online as exclusive immediately (a week or so after applying). Really, the main part of getting approved is making sure you aren't selling images elsewhere...

Thank you! Upon reading the exclusive section through again, it does seem that they expect other images to be removed first.

So I gather that as long as I have the minimum required images, applying is a technicality? Now comes the decision making part...hmmmm!!!

Hi, Erin. I looked at your portfolio and was kinda confused about your small portfolio given that you've been a DT contributor since 2007. But then I looked at your website. Wow! You are an extremely talented photographer and you, obviously, have simply chosen not to upload much to DT these past six years. IMO, if you upload all your stock photos here on DT and go exclusive you will make some really nice extra income. Your work is brilliant!! Kind regards - Mike.

Wow! Thank you so much for that! Yes, I haven't submitted much to any of the sites I have accounts with, but I wish I had. Now I have the time to do it more, so that brings me to my current dilemma. :)

Heywoody
I think you can keep other accounts as long as you don't have any images on them.

Thank you Heywoody! That is how I interpreted it as well. I am in the process of doing that. Dealing with certain sites is a real pain though since they don't simply let you delete your own photos. Ugh...

I did it! After a week of trying to get my portfolio off other stock sites and applying about two days ago, I received the email during the night to become exclusive! Keeping my fingers crossed that I made the right decision. Now for uploading, uploading, uploading. Up to 104 images so far!!!

:)
