The “Keeper of the Plains” stands at the confluence of the Big and Little Arkansas rivers with hands raised in supplication to the Great Spirit. This is the iconic symbol of Wichita, Kansas. The Indian Warrior sculpture was created by Wichitan and Native American artist Blackbear Bosin. Pedestrian bridge arches over the rivers on either side of the statue represent the joining of the rivers.
