Castle Oranienburg is the oldest baroque castle in Brandenburg. Starting from 1651 it was established by the large cure prince, Friedrich Wilhelm, for its first wife, Louise Henriette of Oranien. Starting from 1690 the castle was preferential residence and representation place for cure prince Friedrich III. In connection with its coronation/culmination to the first Prussian king let Friedrich III. around 1700 the castle extend and out-arrange precious. After decades of the third-party use the castle was in the meantime restored and in parts of the public accessible.
