The old Courthouse in Auburn, Placer, County, California, a Classic Revival structure with Renaissance Revival inspired dome built above the hisoric old town area of the city. Completed in 1898, the courthouse is still in use today, in addition to housing a museum. It is located in the Gold or Mother Lode Country of California, in the Sierra Mountain foothills, famous for the Gold Rush of the mid 1800's.
