My joy is getting lost in Nature with my camera. I can be gone for hours and not realize how time has passed. I love to get up close and personal with flowers (macro photography), and show the vastness of Nature in landscapes. Nature, to me, should be natural, so I edit as little as posstible. If you go to a place you saw in one of my photos, I want you to be able to recognize it and say, “Yeah, this is a gorgeous place just like in the photo!”
My son was a single dad, so I have a great selection of photos to honor single dads and their kids using photos of my son and grandson. There is also a great choice of cute kid photos because my grandson is so photogenic!
To grow myself as a photographer, as well as grow my portfolio, I've branched out into other things I shoot for fun, too: street photography, food that I grow and cook, I like fun and funky humorous subjects and will often lay on the ground to get a line of bicycle tires or shoot flower blossoms through a crystal globe. I love holiday theme photos especially Christmas lights and ornaments, and fun things for and with kids.
I aim to grow even further and do some travel photography....a trip to India in 2012 is what got me started in photography, and I'd like to do more of that!
