The year's end has always been recollection and self-assessment time. We look back, analyze, draw conclusions, learn lessons or set goals for the future. Since this would be the last assignment for this year, we want to give you a head start for past revisiting and a chance to do better.

So, we want you to revive your best sellers' concepts and unveil them anew, in better lights and/or fresh compositions, with modern props and equipment.

Select favorite subjects from your own best sellers and re-shoot them. Your aim is to give them a contemporary look, tuned up for today's market exigencies. Feel free to re-create and re-think, whether it is a touch of color, a change of setting or of models' expressions. You can either improve the image technically by taking advantage of updated gear or simply re-shoot the concept in a differently arranged context. Don't copy yourself, but improve your work. If former popular files don't sell anymore, it's time for a makeover: lots of things have changed in the last years, from your models' clothes to the computers they use, from home decorations to the very camera you employ.

Best revamps will be rewarded $ prizes instantly added to the winners' earnings. First place will get $300, second place $200 and third place $100 for winners to bring back forgotten old dreams and make them true. They will also receive our official Dreamstime T-shirts for a timeless look on any occasion.

For these holidays, show us your best stock! Good luck!

I am afraid it's NOT 100% clear to me! Renew, Recreate, Re-illustrate!

Using the same concept or it has to have a change?

Please explain more...

Thanks ;)

My best selling images are editorials.

I don't think you have to use a previous image, just come up with one really super idea; it's an opportunity to start an image at Level 5.

Lessee... how about a pretty, smiling girl holding a blank sign while swimming in a sea of coffee beans with clouds in the sky and a sunset in the background... :-)

I like the idea of freshening things up a little, but how will it be assessed - will the revamped version be compared to the original? If so, should we include the image number of the original with the submission?

OMG! My best seller it's impossible to re shoot, so it was a unique event due the 15th anniversary of Barcelona olympic games, and they won't fire the olympic torch again ;) so maybe I could go again to the aquarium and make some re shoots

my best seller 1:

   Olympic torch

My B.S 2:

   Olympic torch

mY b.s. 3:

   Colorful and vibrant aquarium life

Do we need to re shoot only the number 1 best seller or we can choose among our best sellers?? I mean. my 2 first B.S are impossible to re shoot

Which pictures can I choose to re shoot??

please answer, Thank you!!!!!!

Bit of a challenge for those of us who are new with no real history of sellers.... Any suggestions?

Heywoody, I'm with you!

I can't wait to try again, hopefully be accepted and take part!

Tangie, please tell us, newbies with no bestsellers, what's to do?

Can we make up a brand new subject? Or do you absolutely have to compare 2 versions - New versus Old?

I'm going to go for the famous 'Attractive and friendly customer service/businesswoman speaking on the phone and trying hard to look natural'

Never enough of those, seems.

Room for more? :)

That was a joke, I'm thinking of something else, but the question still stands. Can we, bestseller-less newbies participate?

I'm really confused on the assignment:

1.) Do we need to give the photo id of the image we are re-vamping?

2.) Will there be a comparison of the new image to the old?

3.) Will the winners be chosen as before by voting?

PS: What designates a "best seller" if you have 5 images which all have the same number of sales?

Not that I have any - they have all been refused because of new policies - but how will people with collages as their best sellers be handled, will they be able to submit collages in this case and have them accepted, or in my own collection, would it be acceptable to do a collage again and submit as a revamped idea?

hmmmmm i am trying to think why it would be good to re vamp a best seller? I mean if it is a best seller it must be ok???? I would think it would be better to choose a shot that has not done well and improve on that one! a sort of database clean with benefits !
